I've long pondered the notion that music must be authentic to be esteemed. To me, authenticity resides in the music that stems from our innermost being. If I write a piece to emulate the essence of Delta blues, does that truly reflect my authenticity?

In creating this piece, I delved into what resonates as my genuine voice when I think of Blues. It doesn't adhere to the conventional 12-bar structure or the typical I-IV-V chords, nor is there a slide anywhere in sight. Yet, it remains undeniably me—a reflection of my present self in the year 2024.
